My ceramic sculptures are inspired by the organic shapes of the natural world, and the undulating, intimate curves of anatomy- human, animal, horticultural. Bone, water, rock, organism- these pieces nod to not only femininity and sensuality, but a delight in the beauty of the macabre and the strange. When sculpting these seemingly found objects, I get lost in the architectural paths of positive and negative space, both implied and calculatingly formed- a world of their own, a puzzle, a maze for the eye seeking to solve.
