In the words of Virginia Wolf, I firmly believe the process of creating is to “make a language to describe the subtleties, the incalculables, the pleasures and meanings — impossible to categorize — at the heart of things."
Image making for me is a solo practice that feels like a moving meditation, and the photos I create are both a visual journal, and peep into my imagination as I go about my days.
Often with a touch of experimentation, I explore the magic in reality, while delighting and humoring in the beauty of the novel and out of place, and overlooked details in everyday scenes.
I sculpt my photos with the play of natural light, and enjoy exploring perception and aesthetics, including the relationship of the organic, architectural paths of positive and negative space as I consider a composition.
